Middle School Makerspace

Tremont Middle School is starting a Makerspace!  What is a makerspace you ask?  Makerspaces, sometimes also referred to as fablabs are creative, DIY spaces where people can gather to create, invent, and learn. They often have 3D printers, software, electronics, craft and hardware supplies and tools, among other items.

The mission of TMS's makerspace is to be an evolving space that is both physical and virtual and a place where students can collaborate, create, design, invent, and build without limits.  In this place failure is an opportunity to learn and grow.

If you would like to know more about our makerspace we would like to extend the invitation to come in and check it out!  Also, as we are starting out--from scratch--we would love to offer you to partner with us as we build up an inventory of supplies.  The Makerspace team has put together a wish list of needed items.  Also, as we do not have a staff member available to work with the students, if you would like to volunteer some time to help students with projects that they are working on we would welcome that also.  Join us as we strive to create a makerspace that allows our students to grow and discover!
