Tremont Junior High School became Tremont Middle School in the fall of 2008 when the building expansion was completed and we welcomed the 5th grade to the Middle School.
Developmentally, we knew once the 5th grade was relocated that calling ourselves a "junior" high school would not properly indicate what we offer our students. Today, we focus on four core areas in all of our programs--academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structure and support.

Students of the Month!
For the month of January, we chose to recognize students who demonstrate good character by displaying "Courage." Students were asked to consider and vote for a peer in each grade level who stands up for those who are less fortunate, takes action in the face of fear, fights temptation, and makes morally appropriate decisions despite backlash from others.
Congratulations to the following January Students of the Month for demonstrating "Courage!"
7th: We have a tie!!! Brianna & Cooper
For the month of December, TMS chose to recognize students who demonstrate good character by displaying attitudes and behaviors of "Caring." Students were asked to consider and vote for a peer in each grade level who is kind, is compassionate, is sensitive to others' feelings, thinks about how their actions will affect others, expresses gratitude, forgives others, and helps people in need.
Congratulations to the following December Students of the Month for demonstrating "Caring": 5th grade-CJ, 6th grade-Sydney, 7th grade-Evan, and 8th grade-both Ana and Kaia!
Stay tuned for January's student of the month announcement when we recognize students who are "Courageous!"
